Salman Khan doesn’t seem to be the only man in Bollywood who feels Dubai is a great shoot location. After Sallu shot a large part of ‘Mental’ in the city last month, we now hear that Shah Rukh is following in his footsteps but with bigger plans.
The two Khans seem to have a soft corner for this beautiful city and our source has an interesting bit of news about Shah Rukh’s mega plans for his film ‘Happy New Year’. “SRK wants to shoot some of the crucial scenes of his film ‘Happy New Year’ in Dubai, some time around the month of August. He has apparently booked a massive part of one of most exquisite resorts in Dubai for more than a month. Shah Rukh regularly visits the city and already owns a villa in Palm Jumeirah. So it was natural that he chose Dubai as his next shooting destination.
An insider believes that a lot of locations have been finalised for the shoot of ‘Happy New Year’ which stars five male leads and one female lead. Most of the important sequences will be shot in an underwater resort. Our Masala! source states, “It’s extremely difficult to acquire such permissions but it’s only thanks to SRK’s bond with the people of Dubai and the hotel, that he was given access to shoot on the property.”
