Why Rani Mukerji Didn't Invite Kajol on her Wedding

Appearances can be deceiving. Remember that Koffee with Karan episode when Rani and Kajol sat alongside each other with Shah Rukh separating them? Maybe it was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai coming to life... for in reality Kajol and Rani aren't close to one another at all. We may have believed otherwise as Ayan Mukerji shares a warm camaraderie with both his cousins but it seems the Kajol and Rani divide is a chasm that is wider than we originally believed it was. After all, the Mukerhi-Chopra wedding may have been a small one but the reception in Mumbai was big. 

Were they not invited to either? It seems hard to believe. When a leading tabloid asked Tanuja about whether she was invited to Rani's wedding, her response was flat and gracious: "I wasn't invited. It's okay. Even I haven't kept in touch with the family. But she is a good girl. When we meet at Durga pujas, we meet warmly." Okay. Hmm. The marriage invitation not making to their home is understandable but we do hope that there was some sort of overture from Rani's side to Tanuja, Tanisha and Kajol for the reception.

Anyhow, things are looking up for Tanisha's career. After a controversial stint in Bigg Boss she is now starting a production house with her mother Tanuja. "We will be making films with a social message but no gyan... and we will be reyling on Ajay and Kajol's expertise." The mother and daughter duo is also doing both regional and Hindi films and say they have "zeroed in on two scripts". Here's wishing the mum and daughter luck in theiur new venture!
